Prepare clear work plans
Prepare clear work plans in Sentinel RAMS, JSA and SWMS. Self-paced beginner training with module screenshots, practical exercises and assessment.
Who is this course for?
New module users and people who prepare or contribute to work plans.
Before you begin
No previous Sentinel RAMS experience is required.
Your learning journey
- RAMS Beginner 1: Understand the workflow and find your workspace — approximately 30 minutes.
- RAMS Beginner 2: Define scope, controls and ordered work steps — approximately 35 minutes.
- RAMS Beginner 3: Save evidence and prepare a reliable handover — approximately 30 minutes.
Study, practice and assessment
Allow approximately 110 minutes including a 15-minute final assessment. Complete three lessons in sequence and ten single-choice questions. Each question is worth one point; seven correct answers meet the 70% pass mark. Read the feedback and revisit any gaps before retrying. The certificate records course achievement, not workplace competence or permission to approve operational risk.
What does the course cover?
The Sentinel Suite 1.9.0 web workflow: work plans, ordered steps, shared actions, independent review, briefing and controlled revisions. The fictional Northbank case supports practice in a notebook without a software subscription. Software practice requires an authorised training assessment and appropriate access.
Access and support
Enrolment is allocated by the Academy administrator, following the existing Sentinel course arrangements. Contact the Academy about access. No operational record should be used for practice.
Does selecting SWMS prove compliance?
No. The applicable work, jurisdiction, duties and required content must be assessed separately. This is software workflow training, not a complete site-specific assessment or a jurisdiction-specific qualification.
