Frequently asked questions

Which course should I start with?

Start with Beginner if you are new to Sentinel RAMS. Intermediate develops linked work, review and briefing. Advanced covers revisions, conflicts, recovery and assurance.

Do I need a Sentinel subscription?

No subscription is needed for the notebook exercises. Optional software practice requires authorised access to a fictional assessment, the correct module allocation and licence.

How do I enrol?

The Academy administrator allocates enrolment under the existing Sentinel course arrangements. Contact the Academy to discuss individual or team access.

How is learning assessed?

Complete three lessons and ten single-choice questions. Each question is worth one point; seven correct answers meet the 70% pass mark. Review feedback and revisit gaps before retrying.

Does passing authorise me to approve work?

No. Course achievement is separate from workplace competence, jurisdiction-specific requirements and operational authorisation.

Can I use the course example as my site assessment?

No. It is a fictional software exercise. Real work needs a competent site-specific assessment, consultation and the applicable local controls.

Which software version is covered?

The courses use Sentinel Suite 1.9.0 on the web. Desktop support depends on the installed release; use the version approved by your administrator.

Plan training for your team

Use Beginner for plan contributors, Intermediate for authors and action coordinators, and Advanced for independent reviewers and supervisors. Agree workplace practice and approval authority separately.
