Choose your level ↓Sentinel NCR connects a requirement and finding to corrective work, independent verification and a later effectiveness review. These courses teach the Suite 1.8.0 web workflow using a fictional Northbank Engineering case, so you can practise the decisions as well as the steps.
Start with Beginner if you are new to the module. Intermediate develops the owner’s role. Advanced focuses on independent review and governance.
BEGINNER
Learn to access Sentinel NCR, write factual non-conformance records, preserve evidence and understand owner and reviewer responsibilities.
No previous NCR module experience is required. Read the orientation in lesson one.

INTERMEDIATE
Develop evidence-based cause analysis, manage linked actions and allocations, and plan a defensible NCR effectiveness review.
Complete the beginner course or bring equivalent experience of raising and submitting NCR records.
View intermediate course
ADVANCED
Review NCR evidence independently, judge effectiveness, manage closure and reopening, and challenge unsupported assurance claims.
Complete the intermediate course or bring equivalent owner-level NCR experience. Reviewers also need the competence and authority required by their organisation.
View advanced courseAllow time for the exercises. You can study in a notebook without a Sentinel subscription. Software practice requires an authorised fictional workspace and the appropriate permissions and licence.
In this course, NCR means a non-conformance record: a traceable record connecting a failure to meet an identified requirement with the response, evidence and review.
Choose Beginner if you are new to NCR. Choose Intermediate if you already raise records and need to own corrective work. Choose Advanced if you need to independently review evidence, judge effectiveness or govern closure.

No software subscription is needed for the notebook exercises. To practise in the module, use an authorised fictional workspace with the appropriate company allocation, permissions and licence.
Each course has three lessons and ten single-choice questions worth one point each. Seven correct answers meet the 70% pass mark. Feedback helps you review the lessons before retrying if needed.
No. It records course achievement. Your organisation must separately establish workplace competence, responsibilities and approval authority.
You can work through a clearly labelled paper simulation. Operational reviews still require the agreed observation period and real evidence; training does not justify future dates or bypassing review gates.
Use Beginner for people raising records, Intermediate for owners and action coordinators, and Advanced for independent reviewers and managers. Discuss practical workplace assessment and access separately from online course completion.
