Sentinel Investigate Pro — Intermediate: Test Causes and Barrier Performance
Test competing explanations, analyse event-time barrier performance and prepare a defensible improvement plan.
Learn at your own pace
Three practical lessons combine clear explanations, fictional case decisions and worked answers. No trainer is required. Allow approximately 60–90 minutes including practice and assessment, split into short sessions to suit you.
Before you begin
Complete Investigate Pro Beginner or have equivalent experience with the brief, evidence register and cause map.
Your learning journey
- Design tests that distinguish explanations — Plan a test whose result could change your conclusion, and document its limitations.
- Analyse the barrier at the time of the event — Compare required function with observed performance and trace the mechanism to evidence.
- Select solutions and build an effectiveness plan — Compare options against supported pathways and prepare the decision record for independent review.
Practice and assessment
Use a notebook or an authorised fictional training workspace. Do not upload real witness statements or company evidence to a demonstration. Each lesson includes a task and an expandable worked answer. The final assessment has ten questions worth one point each. Seven correct answers achieve the 70% pass mark. Complete the required learning and assessment to earn the course certificate.
Connected learning
