Before you begin
Complete Competence Beginner or have equivalent practical knowledge.
Your learning journey
- Define requirements that can be assessed — Translate task risk into observable knowledge and skill criteria.
- Evaluate practical evidence and assessor judgement — Distinguish sufficient demonstration from confidence or familiarity.
- Manage renewal, changes and suspension — Keep authorisation aligned with current work and evidence.
Practice and assessment
Use a notebook or authorised fictional workspace. The separate final test contains ten single-choice questions worth one point each. Seven correct answers achieve the 70% pass mark. Complete the required lessons and assessment to earn the Sentinel course certificate. The worked exercises are self-check activities; the knowledge test does not certify practical workplace competence.
Access and scope
Enrolment is allocated by the Academy administrator. A software subscription is not needed to complete notebook exercises. Editing Sentinel requires the appropriate account, permissions, licence and workplace authority. This course records learning; it does not establish technical competence, regulatory acceptance or authority to accept operational risk.
