    Roustabout dies work over incident in Kuwait

    A roustabout has died from 3rd degree burns following a casing bleed off incident in Kuwait whilst working on a work over rig.

    Whilst bleeding down the casing pressure into a burn pit, 2 roustabouts who have been ordered to watch the pit were engulfed in flames when the well bore fluids being discharged ignited in the pit.

    The operation was stopped and the 2 roustabouts recovered by the crew who took them to the rig clinic and then transferred to a hospital.

    One roustabout subsequently died of his injuries whilst the other remains in hospital.

    Another preventable tragedy that has resulted in a family mourning a lost father, husband, son and relative.
