Learn the decisions as well as the steps

Follow a fictional Northbank inspection from selection evidence to engagement planning, independent review, handback and controlled change. The courses cover Sentinel Suite 1.10.0 and the compatible Desktop 2.1.5 RC1 workflow.

  • Scope the review
  • Check evidence
  • Verify qualifications
  • Review independently
  • Confirm readiness
  • Retain the handback

Compulsory qualifications are recorded separately for each worker and requirement. Responsible people define what the actual work needs; the software cannot infer a requirement that was never entered.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I start?

Beginner introduces scoped reviews, evidence and multiple qualification requirements. Intermediate develops independent approval and engagement readiness. Advanced covers change, desktop transfers, conflicts and recovery.

Do I need a Sentinel subscription?

No subscription is needed for notebook exercises. Optional software practice requires authorised access to a fictional assessment, the Contractor module and your own account.

How do I enrol?

The Academy administrator allocates enrolment under the existing Sentinel arrangements. Contact the Academy for individual or team access.

How is learning assessed?

Complete three lessons in sequence and a ten-question single-choice assessment. Each question is worth one point; seven correct answers meet the 70% pass mark. Review feedback and revisit gaps before retrying.

Does the course award a CSCS or well-control qualification?

No. It teaches how to record and verify requirements in Sentinel. The responsible people establish the scheme, level, scope and validity needed for the actual work. The fictional examples are not a universal prescription.

Does passing authorise me to approve contractor work?

No. Course achievement is separate from workplace competence, access permissions and operational authority.

What does Advanced cover about desktop sign-in?

It explains edited uploads, company synchronisation, evidence-based conflict choices, isolated recovery and the 30-minute cloud inactivity session. Local vault locking remains separate.

Build your team’s learning pathway

Use Beginner for contributors, Intermediate for owners and reviewers, and Advanced for people responsible for controlled change and assurance. Agree supervised workplace practice separately.
